Fabkids was started by a group of parents (including Christina Applegate, TV Series Up All Night) to create personalized fashions  in keeping with their growing personalities.

For $39.99 (including shipping costs) a month, Fabkids offers you an outfit for your child. The outfit usually includes 2 items of clothing and one extra. The extra item can be an accessory or tights or socks.

They seem to have a set of items every season, which they mix and match to create outfits. They create styles for your child (starting at age 2) based on couple of personality based questions. You can set up multiple children as well. Once you have answered their questions, they will generate some top styles. If you aren't buying those, you can opt to look at all their outfits.

Sometime last year, they offered a free outfit to new subscribers. You just paid the $8 shipping cost. And I took them up.

I picked this outfit and I loved it. O looked amazing in it. It is one of my favorite outfits for her.
I loved it so much that I asked a friend to get another outfit I liked for Lil O. She did and I liked it just enough as well.
These clothes are all branded fabkids and arrive in a nice pink box (pictured on top). The material is awesome (after wash too).

But my take is that for $39.99, I can get a whole lot more from babygap, The Children's Place, Macy's or Nordstrom (on sale). I am not sure if I want to buy Lil O, $20 items to wear barely couple of times. I want a little more bang for my buck.

A good thing is that you can skip months that you do not want to buy and from time to time, they have sales and you can buy the same outfits at 50% off (problem is you have to qualify for free shipping with $39.99 worth of items.). With free shipping, I think it would be totally worth it.

Try Fabkids and let me know what you think.

(If you click on the links here and do buy an outfit, I will get a referral fee.)
