One of my most poignant and favorite memories from school actually involves you Gins.. We were bench mates for at least sometime during the 10th grade and always up to no good. Never taking notes and always trying to read m&b's under the desk and giggling.. My math book was virtually empty as was yours.. One day we were up to no good in Vijay Kumar's class and he catches both of us and walks over to examine both our books. I was relieved that I had some company when I was in trouble but that particular emotion was short lived..Turns out at some point during the previous weekend you had bribed one of your sisters to fill in your notes while mine remained glaringly empty.. VJ went through page after page of nothing and then voila he saw something interesting. And then with triumphant malice he holds it up to the whole class and says this is Diana's algebra. Imagine my horror and mortification when for the first time I saw what it was he was holding up. I had scribbled some gibberish on one of the pages and under it I had drawn this huge blunted W (looked like this UU). I can only take credit for that much of that particular piece of art. You, at some point, had decided to express your creativity and included two bindhi sized dots at the end of each of the U's making it looks like a rather saggy pair of boobs. Everyone burst out laughing and even I couldn't stop an errant smirk from escaping which infuriated VJ and I was send out of class. Needless to say you sat through it all looking doe eyed and completely innocent. This is one of those moment that still laugh about :)

Oh I remember this....infact VJ I remember used to always pick on you two. And gins yea I remember the murthy incident....i remember thinking to never crack a smile in her class

hahaha....those pics are priceless! I believe we wanted to ensure that the pic captured our long painted nails, and hence that pose with the hands :D. I love how we are showing all our teeth... I remember sayin this one should be deleted as didnt want a pic with my braces shown..so glad you still have it..
One of our biggest fashion mistakes were wearing oversized clothes... they wud probably still fit us, (tho we would never wana be caught wearin em)!

I would luv to go back to those days!!! The short breaks between each period were utilized to the maximum to let out all the pent up laughter abt some funny thing or the other that happened with the previous teacher, but for which we couldnt laugh out loud during the class.

Great times, great memories.... When Diana mentioned the whole episode with VJ, it reminds me of 8th and 9th,,,can't remember which one exactly, that during every PTA meeting, the teachers would bring up their concern to my Dad that I was 'in bad company' and that ' it would not be a good thing for my future'. My dad would turn to me quizzically wondering what they were talking about, coz there seemed to be no signs or symptoms of me turning 'bad' bcoz of ANY company. The teachers were concerned about Jens being my partner in class, and they could very well tell we loved each others company. They just couldn't figure out how the queen of the nerds was suchhhhh good friends with the queen of the style icons of the century. Bah, seriously, if it weren't for my good and 'bad' company, I know I would need therapy to get through my bad times back then. Thank Heavens for Bad Company!!!!!

Pretty awesome post Gins...!! HS was definitely something and this does bring back a lot of good memories.....would be interesting to go back again. Btw loved you fashion outfits....especially the white one. And yea XA was definitely the class to be in..!!
